Ethical Fashion

A tailor making clothes in Mumbai

It's the day after laundry night and I'm rooting through my freshly washed clothes. Faded, bobbly and less than one week old. High street fashion is getting all the more disposable by the day. I can't claim to be nostalgic for old tailors and cobblers as these shops have long been extinct in my area. High street value draws you in. But my £35 pencil skirt splitting right up to my pants was the last straw. I want clothes made with care, out of fabrics that are built to last. Companies that don't use young children to manufacture their clothes in bulks of thousands. My new priorities mean I willing to front the costs but fashion with a conscience doesn't have to be bank breaking. The ethical fashion on this blog recommends fabulous ethical designers and shops selling throughout London.
